I would prefer a JEDEC one (despite the CAS 22 rating) because they would work out of the box, but if XMP kits are the only options, I can set the timings myself. So here I am, asking for recommendations for a 8 x 32 GB DDR4-3200 kit that is known to work with this motherboard (and where to actually buy 8x kits in general Newegg only lists quad-channel kits, sometimes bundled as 2 for 8 sticks total but I’m not sure these would work in octo-channel config).
It never POSTs with all 8 sticks installed.
It POSTs sometimes with 6 sticks but takes a LONG time before the RAM LED switches from red to green. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to get the system to reliably POST with more than 4 of the sticks installed. I have bought a 8 x 32GB kit for NEMIX RAM ( 256GB Kit (8 x 32GB) DDR4-3200 PC4-25600 ECC Registered Memory for Servers/Workstations by NEMIX RAM at ) which seemed to tick all the boxes: Most motherboards have two to four memory slots, which determine the type of RAM used with the computer. I’m looking for a octo- channel DDR4-3200 RAM kit for my workstation (WRX80E-SAGE SE WIFI + 3955WX). A memory slot, memory socket, or RAM slot allows RAM (random-access memory) to be inserted into the computer.
